Common questions
How soon should I get an inspection after a storm?
As soon as you can. Most policies have time limits for filing claims, and hidden damage can lead to leaks.
What size hail damages a roof?
Hail about one inch (quarter size) and larger can bruise asphalt shingles. Smaller hail can still dent gutters and screens.
Will filing a claim raise my rates?
That depends on your insurer and policy. Storm claims are typically treated differently than at-fault claims, but ask your agent.
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company recommends?
No. In Wisconsin and Illinois you can choose your own licensed contractor. We work with every insurance company.
Is there a fee for a storm damage inspection?
No. Storm damage inspections are free, and we give you photos of everything we find.
What if my claim is denied?
We’ll review the adjuster’s report with you. If damage was missed, we can document it and help you request a re-inspection.
